One cowboy. One cowgirl. One ranch.
Who will win the Double Deuce by the Fourth of July?

Adele O’Donnell knew that Double Deuce Ranch had to be hers the second she walked onto the property. Freshly divorced, she sees it as the perfect spot for her and the kids to start a new life.

Remington Luckadeau was always a carefree playboy…until his suddenly orphaned nephews became his responsibility. The Double Deuce Ranch would be the perfect place to raise two boys. But some fiery woman is fighting him for it, and Remington is not sharing-no matter how the sparks fly when he and Adele are together.

One perfect ranch. Two families in love with the property.  Only one can claim it… or maybe not.

I confess to loving Carolyn Brown’s novels.  They always give  me those “feels good” reading moments with likable characters, interesting situations and the love of a couple and family at the forefront.  Now we’re beginning a new series, and if this first story is any indication – it’s going to be another winning combination for this particular reader.

I like Adele and Remy.  They’ve both had some life changing events happen to them recently and their worlds are slightly off kilter when they first meet.  Yet when two adversaries start liking each other, working together, finding respect for the other’s situations then just maybe love can start to grow.  Neither is a push over, both are stubborn and that makes for some interesting moments as these two families slowly find themselves blending more and more.  What to do about the ranch – well, in the end it’s rather obvious.

Loved the kids and the secondary characters who I hope we’ll see again soon in their own stories.  If you’re in the mood for a down home country romance then Talk Cowboy To Me is perfect for you.  Plus, it’s always fun to get in on the beginning of a series and not have to catch up later.  I’d recommend this story for any Romance reader who loves a good story, likable characters, emotional moments and quite possibly stubborn people.  Grab some sweet tea, sit back on your version of the front porch swing and indulge yourself.
